Dear diary, i have been sick for 3 days. Initially it was just cough, then it slowly became cough and flu and now its fever and the other 2. I shouldnt had go to work today. I thought i was slightly better but it made my illness worse. Tml's a Friday and i guess i will have to apply leave and stay at home.

I do not know why did i fall sick. This is my 1st time in such a long time i fell sick. It probably has to do with smoking. Anyway i cant say its totally negative because sometimes it helps to clear my nose too.

Just watched the local 9pm hong kong drama on U. It was touching.

And i am posting this at 4.23am with a cup of lipton tea for companion. GOOD GOING FLU THANKS ALOT.

i have no idea why i alighted at thomson plaza around 8.30 for the toilet to ease my stomachache and then resulting to the risk of late. after that i ate my lunch and felt very nauseus. Course Product Industrial Design Reflection

Product and Industrial Design is also called PID. It focuses on design in the most surprising or most unexpected of places: a coffee mug that is emotionally expressive; a life-saving device for drowning swimmers; and an unorthodox chair-cum-coffee table. The course teaches and hones design specialists to design specific products and services that enrich people’s lives. There are improvement of the design of a teapot (so that it wouldn’t dribble), or redesigning an MP3 player for older folk (that is more age-friendly), or simply designing a bicycle for the physically challenged.

There is also a chance to understand human-centred behaviours, wants and needs, and application of this knowledge to creative design solutions. The course also gives me a better understanding and knowledge of engineering principles, human factors/ergonomics, aesthetics, industrial materials and processes and digital computer-aided design. I am also encouraged to pit my skills against others in exciting local and international competitions, as well as to participate in industry-initiated projects.
This course also prepares me for the dynamically creative profession where the boundaries and definitions are constantly challenged. There are new and unlimited opportunities in the profession and product and industrial design course will prepare me to meet these dynamic challenges in the creative industry.

Induction Project is the first project which requires me to build a prototype that has flight ability. This project also allows me to get familiarise with the equipments in the workshop through the aid of my year three seniors. I think this is a very good and interactive present for me when I was still in my year one. It was through this project, I get to know my fellow year one friends better and faster. This is because we had to discuss and come out with our designs of the object. There are also different ideas and problems clashing and surfacing. After much discussion and changes, we still managed to complete our prototype and surprisingly it can fly. It flew when we brought it to the reservoir and released it on top of a hill. Our prototype glided down and landed a few metres away.

I remembered that on the day of our official induction competition, there was this particular group whose design was a Frisbee. Their prototype didn’t glide but swing to a further distance as compared to us. We were astonished but weren’t jealous that we lost to them, this is because their design was more unique and unconventional. This is the first project which I had handled in Temasek Polytechnic and it brings me on another level of thinking.

Creative Writing Character Creating Reflection

The character I chose for creative writing was William James. He was a Native American Professor who liked adventurous activities. He was so adventurous that he had tried almost every heart-stopping adventure till the age of sixty-four.

William James had a lot of courage because he never gave up when he was experiencing his adventurous activities. No matter how hard it was to be at a treacherous height or the distance of his obstacles and even when there’s one particular incident where technical failure resulting to him accidentally handicapped his legs. That is one of the most painful, unforgettable yet un-regrettable experiences.

William James also had a lot of confidence and belief. Confidence explains how William James knew he could make his scientific experiment a success and how he would predict it before executing. Belief explains how firm he stands on regarding his scientific theory, despite the majority of peers doubting him.

From creating William James, I believed that characters played an important role in most stories even to the extent of driving a plot, vice versa. I also felt that writing should serve not only as a means of entertainment but also as a way to bring learning to our everyday actions and behaviors. Most successful writers know how to identify and solve the problems which they faced while writing. Whereas, less successful writers need to develop the habits of mind that are the underlying strategies of the writing process.

This reflective journal also allowed me to practice my writing skills. It is also said that the most powerful learning happens when students self-reflect. They also open a student’s mind and allowing teachers to look in.

Overall, I felt that journals had become a useful assessment tool that students value their own learning and progress.

Uhm, wonder if this is a bad month.
Good things come and go fast. It makes it seems no stop sign when it drives past.

i kept my eyes awaked 18hrs for this 2009 eve.
waking up at 12pm noon and was preparing before leaving house and meeting yong woei at marine parade. So the 1pm picnic was actually scheduled at 5pm when we all finally met.I must say its kinda a new thing celebrating 2009 new year eve in EAST COAST PARK and u wouldnt want to imagine how many tents are they in only 1 AREA. Its somehow close to a war zone refuge camp and the funny thing is that every camp has their own special features. There are some similar as the bazzar thingy structure, some combo mega camps + big mega umbrella at the middle for some red carpet sort of thing. It was funny. Well ours was some style similar to some 'cult' which has candles over our area, however it helps alot when it was dark as you know thats our campsite with bright candles light gleaming.
I saw this question on the pid blog regarding, wad is my first drink in 2009 and i supposed that will be either cheryl's PINK champnage or martell+sprite. This is 1 thing i decided to add to my new year resolution or my believe, i wont drink martell again or rather i decided that martell sucks. So there's this possiblity that at East Coast Park, you can see the marina bay fireworks + 1 extra addition of seeing Ships' Flare Gun being released up the sky.
After that we packed up and went over to terry's house playing monopoly and watching some funny videos before leaving and going home to slp.

This morning, it was a bright morning full of hope and happiness
even though i woke up at 7am to be exact, i didnt complain at all cause i knew today will be the day of phase 2 and i shall complete most of my work.
When i left my house, i saw bus number 800 zoom past me while i was walking towards the bus stop, I didnt increase my pace at all and enjoy walking in the lit drizzling rain.

It was till i reached school and started working on my work, i received a sms from my mom saying my third uncle has just admitted to the hospital. Then i was still holding on to Yong Woei psp. After awhile, i called my mom to check back the situation, she told me that third uncle's kidney failed him. Till then i realised life's fragile and weak.

Shall not give up and do wad i promise which is to stay awake for today and tomorrow and most probably wednesday night =) I hope so ..

National Day itself wasnt that bad, although there wasnt any sighting of fireworks.
Maybe just a "test trial" version i saw. Probably its enough.
So left home around 5.30 to meet weizhong,weilong & stead, yann ting.
Daryl and Allen joined us at Funan It Mall. do not ask me why go funan It mall, cause i really do not know why.So at funan IT mall , we watched the small version of fireworks.
After that i went to find ter and angel. I feel really bad because they waited for me to arrive before going in to New York New York to have their dinner. Sorry terence and angel.
then cheryl (THE UBER LATE QUEEN) came and we went over to suntec to find cheris, jiayuan and chloe. Shaun and san roye came over as well.
Hey hey hey, theres this tourist priviledge computer out at suntec which needed 1 buck to use the computer for 10mins.
So me and ter somehow hack the system and keep pressing reset when the system lock is restarting, we had to type : pidylife.blogspot.com and click go within like 5 sec. So after several tries. we went in pid blog with free usage of computer. Woos.

Terry came and we went over to yufeng's house to slack then as we were hungry. Yufeng whipped out a meal for us using wadever food he can find in his big fridge.
So there's this statement: IF Xiao can cook, So can you.!

Somehow this wasnt a normal and typical National Day but it was fun .. haha

Charlene's blog is very touching, of course it is sad to hear or see the news about her boyfriend who died during national service. Although its becoming very very common in the news in this era, it is very heart-sobbing to see it. Witnessing the love which came with every word she typed in her blog, i can really see that life for her is miserable without him.

And let me see , wad do u get for reading about this misfortunate + seeing the videos made by cheryl and chiam + watching initial D. I guess tonight i am becoming very sentimental. My tears are like the oxygen, which is uncontrollable and i think that if you see her blog, you will feel wad i am feeling now.

Last wed was cheryl's birthday , we pidians went to East Coast Park for her celebration and it was funny to move from pits to pits cos we didnt manage to book one.
But still we managed to find 1 empty pit and took it to our advantage.
Many people came on that day, the funniest was year one Nelson. It was cause he's the only year one around and i think he will bond very well with us more than any other year one.

White rice from jumbo was awesome, going with steamboat, HEheheh AND THE BIKE for transporting mineral water and going toilet was fantastic as well,
In a nutshell we had fun and CHERYLHEE if u are reading this, HOPE U ENJOY UR BIRTHDAY !.

okok here comes the long century didnt update post,
i finall drag my fingers to do it cos i do not wan to be claimed as the "you always lazy to update one lor".

So yesterday i watched The Lord Of The Ring- The Return Of The King
It was really good. No doubt it won 11 awards. oh wait did it win or being nominated?
aights who cares, but it was really nice.
In fact i can still remember the entire 3 movie storyline. That shows how successful the director has inplant his movie into we audience mind.

Happy things aside, my warcraft 3 cant be load, so i guess i got no games to play at home and shall be a good student and complete my work diligently and be punctual.

Let this collage be the start of something which i am currently taking for this month.

overslept today, was supposed to meet zhiming at 8 but woke up by his call, asking me if i am already there.
I was still dreaming LOL..
so anyway went to school, reached at 10. began my polishing of the base which is a metal strip.
GOD why isnt the workshop metal kept in a good condition??
there's damn lots of scratches.
Hmm but anyway i guess lubricant with sanding paper
slowly sanding of 400 by 400 is so amazing but it needs more refinement.
hmm shall ganbateh tml!!
then process onto the other piece of metal

so after workshop, went opp at 6pm for dinner

So am i proud to announce that i actually walked a girl home at 12am Valentines' Day with 3 other guys...??
alright away from that ... i freaking need to re-conceptualise my idea.. and not forgetting multi-tasking with friend..hahaa
so i guess tml's gonna be once again brain stretching ideas for pen and maybe if fortunately starting of macquette ? hahaha i think i will leave fate to it. LOL

well let's not digress and focus on This damn project.. i mean PROJECTSSSSS

14th of February.
knew zhiming wasnt gonna go school and due to the fact that i woke up uber duber late, i chiong to school and meet shaun at mushroom. was surprised that there wasnt any Project 1 lesson and went to the studio to slack, cheryl gave me the cookie she spent 7hrs baking (i heard its 7hrs).. THANKS ALOT!!
then ivy,wendy and more(sry i forgotten who else) shared and treated us chocolate. THANKS ALOT TOO !!!!!
last but not least cheris came like in the afternoon and treated us the cookies she baked. there were 2 of it and with a heartshaped made by straw.. THANKS ALOT THREE!!!!

so yup and i am progressing on. =)
